Be Part of Team Mission MetroWest!

A Mile a Day, Your Way!

The Community Day Center of Waltham is launching its FIRST EVER digital exercise challenge! “Mission Metrowest” is a challenge to walk, run, or cycle 1 mile per day throughout the month of April, find sponsors, and raise money to support those experiencing homelessness in MetroWest.

Sign up today for a FREE T-SHIRT after your first donation, and you can take part with a doggie, with a friend or group, as an office, or alone. It’s that simple!

There are several ways to sign up, but most will join with a Facebook fundraiser, and become part of our lively MISSION METROWEST FACEBOOK PAGE!

FAQ’s

Where do I direct my sponsors to donate?

  • The majority of supporters will register with a form that we provide where they can order their t-shirt and join the FB group. However they can also set up a FB fundraiser with Justgiving or simply print out our sponsorship form and collect donations in cash.

I don’t have Facebook, can I still participate?

  • Of course!! You can collect your donations via cash or checks and then mail or drop them off at the Community Day Center. Just be sure to reach out and let us know you’re participating so we can get you your T-shirt!!

What is the best way to raise more money with Facebook fundraisers?

  • Make it personal and make it fun! Share your favorite running route, and why you want to support the Community Day Center of Waltham! Post videos. Post Selfies. Tag friends. The more likes and comments, the more money you will raise so be as creative as you can be! And don't be shy to keep moving your fundraising target up the closer you get to it! People are more motivated to support you if you are close to your target, rather than if you have hit it! 💚

How much money do I have to raise?

  • There is no minimum sponsorship target to take part in the challenge. Every penny counts! The more money you can raise, the more support we can provide for the guests in our center. Most people are aiming for the $500 mark, but you do whatever you can!
