The Community Day Center of Waltham provides day shelter and support services to adults who are experiencing homelessness. We strive to create a safe, judgment-free culture that is grounded in hospitality, compassion and mutual respect.

Our Programs and Services

  • General

We are here to help provide a safe place during the daytime hours so that adults in need can get the help and resources they require. We are a drop-in location where visitors can pick up their mail, share a meal, browse free clothing, get hygiene items, and more.

  • Case Management

Our case management is geared towards helping those who are homeless and at risk of homelessness gain stability in their lives. Our case managers work one-on-one with clients to create a tailor-made action plan that addresses the specific needs of the client.

  • Programs

Our agency offers a wide array of programs designed to support the needs of our clients, and address some of the most difficult aspects of homelessness. We want all clients to have the support and guidance needed to move towards positive outcomes throughout the experience of homelessness and beyond.

  • "People treat you differently when they know you're homeless, they take advantage of you and look down on you. They're not like that at the day center, I can just be myself"

    G.C., CDCW Client

  • "Housing the most vulnerable members of our community helps increase their protection and independence, and with additional support can provide the opportunity to work towards even greater goals and achievements."

    Nina Lordi, Case Manager

  • "Even though it could be loud and noisy at times, it was always a place of refuge. Somewhere I could go and be safe."
